Mark Anthony Nava is an award-winning American director from Northern California and a graduate of California State University, Northridge. His work spans high-end commercials, branded storytelling, music videos, and short films.
Recognized for emotional precision, grounded performances, and strong visual discipline, Mark directs with equal confidence on large-scale productions and intimate, stripped-down sets. He has worked with actors, artists, celebrities, amateurs, and people from the street—on projects ranging from extremely heavy productions to moments that require nothing more than instinct and a camera.
He has built a long international career as a commercial director, creating award-winning work for global brands including Fanta, Unilever, Peugeot, and Procter & Gamble, as well as major European brands such as Star Potato Chips, Cuic Beer, Rivex Detergent, Spor Paint, Germanos, and many others.
His advertising work and short films have been recognized at major international festivals, including the Epica Awards, Golden Drum, MTV Balkan (best video of the year), and the Prague Independent Film Festival, reflecting a consistent focus on cinematic storytelling.

Pick up a camera. Shoot something.
No matter how small, no matter how cheesy.
No matter whether your friends and your sister star in it.
Put your name on it as director. Now you’re a director.
Everything after that you’re just negotiating your budget and your fee.
